Wojnarowski’s report reads, “Free agent G Skylar Mays has agreed on a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN. He’s spent parts of the past four seasons with Portland and Atlanta. He gives the Lakers some point guard depth.”
Mays, who was selected as the 50th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, boasts a wealth of experience having played for the Atlanta Hawks and the Portland Trail Blazers over the past four seasons. His career averages include 4.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, with a shooting efficiency of 44.3% from the field and 34.3% from beyond the arc in 88 regular-season games. Additionally, he has participated in nine NBA playoff games and was part of the Hawks’ journey to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.
