Tom Daley and Noah Williams achieved a silver medal in the men’s 10m synchro diving final on Monday, showcasing six superb dives.
The British duo was bested by China’s Lian Junjie and Hao Yang, who led the competition with 490.35 points. Daley and Williams scored 463.44 points, while the Canadian team of Ryan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray secured bronze.
Daley, competing in his fifth Olympics after a two-year break, adds this silver to his collection of three bronzes and one gold, completing his Olympic medal set.
Daley’s family, including his husband Dustin Lance Black and sons Robbie and Phoenix, were present. “Diving in front of my son Robbie, who asked me to return, makes this moment so special. I now have one of every color,” Daley told the BBC.
Considering the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, Daley remarked, “I don’t know. For now, I want to savor today and see what comes next.”
