Wang Chi-Lin and Lee Yang of Taiwan have made history again, winning their second consecutive Olympic gold medal in men’s doubles badminton at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The dynamic duo triumphed over China’s world number one pair, Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang, in an intense three-game final.

The “Linyang” duo took control early in the match, winning the first game 21-17. However, the Chinese pair fought back in the second game, turning a 9-12 deficit into a 21-18 victory, forcing a decisive third game.

In the final game, Wang and Lee faced stiff competition, but they managed to edge out their opponents in a thrilling finish, winning 21-19. This victory not only secured Taiwan’s first gold medal at the Paris Olympics but also solidified Wang and Lee’s status as one of the top men’s doubles teams in the world.
